  • The race leader has just passed the pits with a great lead in the second last stint of the race is about to end and someone's in the wall. Safety car out and the rest of the field go in and fills up for the run home. Our leader or top 2 or top 3 or top 4 you get the point goes to the back of the field, race over. This has happened too many times. I hate the saying "buying a ticket for the last stint" why did i just watch 6 hours of racing. It used to be good, now it's a joke. This need fixing to make the race great again.

    • The whole section from Reid Park to just before the Dipper is just scary fast considering how narrow and twisty the track is, and how much elevation change there is in there. Amazing to watch, but I'd shit my pants if I was a driver...

  • Coverage of V8 Supercars in the US is abysmal, at best. the original Speedvision channel covered it best, but it was covered live, meaning 2am on the West Coast (before DVRs). Supercars is an awesome series though, and I'm a little surprised Marcus Ambrose wanted to do NAPCAR.

  • 2014 for sure Chaz Mostert was excluded from Qualifying amd had to start Last Chaz was quick all day and kind of flew under the radar untill his Co Driver (Paul Morris) binned it in the wall Paul chucked the car in reverse and drove it back to the pits and they prety much fixed a half a million dollar race car with a spanner and a heap of tape (Im not joking) The race was red flagged half way because the track/Road at turn 2 was litterally falling to pieces (exactly what you want when you chuck the car into turn 2 at over 100KPH) The council was called mid race to fix the road and the cars lined up on the main straight and the teams got to work amd the race was effectively Reset Anyway one of the other main competitors Shane Van Gisbergen (mentioned in the video) was running in the top 5 all day and stalled the car after a pitstop and couldn't get it started Later in the race chaz was 4th with something like 10 laps to go 2 cars infront of him had a tangle and one got spun around, the other got a penalty for causing the spin Then with litterally 3 laps to go the only car in front was running out of feul but couldn't hear his team telling him to conserve feul On the Last lap 161/161 Jamie whincup ran out of feul coming onto conrod straight Chaz hadn't lead a lap all day, started last and suddenly had 4 turns to go to win it Got a great slid out of the chase and around the last turn And its was only his 38th race in supercars

  • My memories, hmmmm🤔 let me think. Oh yeah, JAIMIE GETTING UNLUCKY EVERY YEAR SINCE 2014. Here's how the past few years have gone, 2014, ran out of fuel to lose 1st and Chaz Master who didn't lead a single lap win, 2015 I forgot🤓🥴, 2016 penalised for something that wasn't even his fault, same with 2017, 2018 lost a tyre lol and the most resent race before the one tomorrow, 2019 ran out of fuel again, oh and HE WAS IN 1ST. Im mad just talking about it, he would have had the most if it wasn't something called, LUCK. Hopefully he can pull through tomorrow after hands down the worst shot out ever, he cam of at the chase exit so he is now starting in 10th😭 but again, 1000km😏

  • For those who think its boring from the first 100 laps just wait. Usually the intense battle action is in the last 2 hours of racing. or 45 laps so many times the drivers get tired and exhausted from 6 hours of Racing with cabin tempretures around 40-55 Celcus. but Always watch the Top 10 Shootout. It gets so intense. Also f1 fans who always complain about the sound of the V6's or F1 fans in general. Listen to the sound the Australian V8 Holden and well no longer Australian Fords make. My first memory of Bathurst was the 2006 Bathurst 1000. Mark Skaife had a massive Clutch slip and couldn't get it back. Halfway up Mountain Straight he gets hit from behind by Shane Price and is out of the race. "Skaife is in the Wall, Skaife's day is done." I grew up as a Greg Murphy fan. I always love watching his 2003 Top 10 shootout Lap of the Gods. A 2:06.8594. The first ever 2:06 lap around Bathurst a record that would stand for 11 years until the track was resurfaced in 2015 where the record was broken. Now the record is a 2:03.3783. The mountain just takes your breath away.
